What is the SAVE Act?

The SAVE Act is a common-sense measure designed to secure our voter registration process and protect the vulnerable. It does the following:

  • Requiring Proof of Citizenship: Ensures individuals provide documentary proof (like a birth certificate or passport) when registering for federal elections.

  • Cleaning Voter Rolls: Mandates that states remove non-citizens from existing registration lists.

  • Verifying Records: Gives election officials the tools to confirm eligibility through federal databases.

  • Protecting Women’s Sports: Ensures that women and girls have a fair and level playing field by keeping men out of female-only sports categories.

  • Protecting Children: Prohibits gender transition procedures and surgeries for minors, ensuring our children are protected from life-altering, harmful medical interventions.
