PARENTS RALLY IN SUPPORT OF CLEARING OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP WAITLIST

WHAT: A group of parents have joined together to rally in support of universal school choice in North Carolina. Parents and students across North Carolina will gather on the Halifax Mall on July 31 to urge the legislature to clear the 55,000+ students waitlisted for the Opportunity Scholarship.

WHERE: Wednesday, July 31, 10 a.m., Halifax Mall

WHO: Parents, students, and concerned citizens will participate in the rally. Members of the press are invited to attend.

WHY: 55,000+ students in North Carolina are waitlisted for the Opportunity Scholarship. Legislators have failed to address the funding gap despite statements made that they would clear the waiting list.
