About the North Carolina Values Coalition: The North Carolina Values Coalition is called to be a powerful positive ambassador of Jesus Christ that creates a culture in North Carolina where human life is valued, marriage & families flourish, and religious freedom thrives. Founded in 2011 as a 501(c)(4), it seeks to influence public policy and elections in North Carolina in favor life, liberty, and family. Our sister organization, the Institute for Faith & Family, a 501(c)(3) entity, complements the work of NC Values Coalition by educating and equipping voters, the public, and the courts on the issues of life, family, and religious freedom.

NC Values Coalition Field Coordinator Contractor Job Description

Description:

Christian individual who will lead conservative pro-values grassroots efforts in one of these counties (some counties to be combined to have 5 total positions available: Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Wake, Hoke, Scotland, Robeson, Wilson, and Nash.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small grassroots groups and volunteers in counties in his/her region
  • Build volunteer base by:
    • Contacting pastors in the region for meetings to join NC Values’ mission in achieving a culture in North Carolina where human life is valued, marriage & families flourish, and religious freedom thrives.
    • Contacting doctors in the region to build a list of medical professionals who can support life from an expert opinion. 
    • Building a coalition of other grassroots organizations in his or her region to easily communicate needs with them and coordinate efforts.
  • Recruit poll observers
  • Speak at GOP groups and other requests for speaker in the region
  • Table at events
  • Assist in voter registration
  • Assist the other field coordinators and director with efforts in Raleigh at the legislative building as needed (time and mileage to be reimbursed)
  • Train volunteer groups as needed
  • Plan events in region with Grassroots Director

Requirements:

  • Must live in or very close to the targeted county
  • Must have a reliable vehicle

Contracted dates: Now-November 8, 2024
Hours: Average of 20 hours a week
Contracted position; no benefits
