About the North Carolina Values Coalition: The North Carolina Values Coalition is called to be a powerful positive ambassador of Jesus Christ that creates a culture in North Carolina where human life is valued, marriage & families flourish, and religious liberty thrives. Founded in 2011 as a 501(c)(4), it seeks to influence public policy and elections in North Carolina in favor life, liberty, and family. Our sister organization, the Institute for Faith & Family, a 501(c)(3) entity, complements the work of NC Values Coalition by educating and equipping voters, the public, and the courts on the issues of life, family, and religious freedom.

About the Role: The North Carolina Values Coalition seeks a talented, resilient, and enthusiastic professional to serve as the Director of Donor Relations for both the North Carolina Values Coalition and the Institute for Faith & Family.  This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to build lasting relationships with committed donors and ministry partners across North Carolina, to build your professional skills while working alongside respected and thoughtful leaders, and to deploy your talents and work ethic to advance sound public policy, and ultimately God’s Kingdom on earth.In addition to the benefits of working alongside a smart, joyful, and Christ-centered team, this position offers a competitive salary, flexible remote working options, and a generous vacation schedule. The Director of Donor Relations will:

  • Oversee, manage, and report on all fundraising activities
  • Cultivate relationships with and prospective donors for major gifts, recurring gifts, and planned gifts through regular in-person visits
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to maintain consistent communication with donors and ministry partners
  • Plan and manage the NCVC’s annual gala, the Celebration of Carolina Values, improving and expanding this successful event each year
  • Expand our growing community of donors by consistently identifying and approaching mission-aligned individuals, companies, and grant making foundations.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a committed follower of Jesus Christ and is actively involved in his church. He or she also has a demonstrable commitment to living Christ’s call to generosity and service, as well as a desire for continuous learning, professional development, and spiritual growth. Prior fundraising success is highly preferred, but other relevant experience will be considered.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience (we will consider pre-college, and during college work)
  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Agreement with the NCVC statement of faith and values
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize the highest and best uses of time
  • Reputation at home, in the workplace, and in the community as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
  • Willingness to travel within North Carolina up to 25% of the time.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to build and lead a diverse network of ministry partners.
