We want to invite you to join us virtually for this year’s Celebration of Carolina Values, where we plan on having a celebration 50 years in the making. In addition to celebrating the reversal of Roe, we’re honored to be joined by the heroine who made that happen: Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch.
Attorney General Fitch took the battle on abortion to the Supreme Court and won in the landmark case of Dobbs v. Jackson Whole Women’s Health. Fitch defended the constitutionality of her state’s legislated limitation on abortion at 15-weeks, and rightly argued that Roe v. Wade was egregiously wrong for overreaching and creating a right not found in the U.S. Constitution.
In contrast, Fitch brought forth a powerful argument before the Court, stating that abortion actually prevented women from truly reaching their full potential. Fitch pointed to a number of sweeping policy advances that allow women to pursue success in both a career and motherhood. And she pointed to herself as one example of many who have flourished doing both.
In just 2 days, you will be able to hear from this amazing pro-life heroine!
On October 20th, pro-values coalition members from across the state will be meeting in Raleigh to celebrate our pro-life work. While our available tickets have sold out, a number of you have asked us whether we could livestream the event on our website.
We plan to do just that, and invite you to join us virtually at 7:30pm on Thursday to watch the event live at 🎟 ncvalues.org/celebration.
I hope you can join us!
In gratitude,
Tami Fitzgerald,
Executive Director, NC Values
