The latest update on Opportunity Scholarship funding is this: there is unfortunately no new update.

While the Senate has passed additional funding at the start of the short session, we are still waiting on the NC House to bring it up to a vote.

There are 58,400 families waitlisted, hoping their children will not be left behind and trapped in failing, dangerous schools. Every child deserves the opportunity to attend the school that best fits their needs, and passing House Bill 823 makes it possible.
