Just because a parent sends their child to public school doesn’t mean they lose their fundamental right to know and have a say in what their child is being taught.
Parents have always maintained local control over government schools for that very reason—so their court-recognized right to oversee the education and upbringing of their children is honored by the public schools. Unfortunately, progressive activists have targeted schools as a primary conduit of social change. After all, children represent our future. The values that are instilled in them will become the culture that shapes tomorrow. That is why it is critical that parents remain in control when it comes to exactly what their children are learning on a daily basis.
Protecting our children from harmful curriculum and indoctrination in school is a battle for their very hearts and minds. We must not only fight it; we must win because their souls are at stake!
We’re excited to share with you a document we put together called the Mama Bear Manual. This manual will help you identify what is harmful and give you strategies to defeat it.
The issue addressed in this manual is whether parents have the right to educate their children according to their values.
Together, we can make a positive impact for truth for our children.

In April, we also hosted three Mama Bear Workshop events in Charlotte, Kernersville, and Raleigh. Our keynote speaker was Katie Gorka, who is the Director of the Feulner Institute’s Center for Civil Society and the American Dialogue at the Heritage Foundation. Katie discussed different methods parents can utilize to combat classroom indoctrination and utilize the rights and resources at their disposal. We also learned about radical gender theory, alternatives to the public school system, and the status of parental rights litigation. Our Executive Director, Tami Fitzgerald, discussed our Mama Bear Manual, which is a comprehensive resource we created to identify 12 steps parents can take to combat classroom indoctrination.
