Prisha Mosely’s has just filed a lawsuit against the unethical and greedy North Carolina doctors now facing charges of fraud and malpractice for lying and manipulating her and her parents into destructive medical gender transitioning.
Prisha was told she was a boy and was quickly medicalized as a teenager without her mental health co-morbidities being addressed. Double mastectomies, penilectomies, and hormones are being given to young people with mental illness, who cannot give consent to chemical and surgical castration. Instead of treating the underlying mental illness of gender dysphoria, medical personnel are mutilating vulnerable people, creating patients who will need care for the rest of their lives.
This important lawsuit highlights the need for legislation like the “Gender Transition/Minors” Act, which protects minors like Prisha from medical transitioning. We have worked on it for several years, however after successfully passing the General Assembly, the bill was vetoed by the obstructive efforts of Governor Cooper.
We look forward expectantly to the override of Governor Cooper’s veto of HB 808, which will protect minors from medical activists who prey on mentally ill patients for profit.
