This Thanksgiving, I’m feeling more grateful than ever – especially for your friendship and support.
In the past year, I’ve had the honor and privilege of working alongside North Carolinians like you to return Biblical values to the public square – not through polemic, but through persuasion, coalition building, and a winning strategy.
This year, your voice, your prayers, and your dogged persistence has brought about the most important victory for Christians in over 50 years – overturning Roe v. Wade.
Some thought it would never happen. Many were resigned to a future where abortion-on-demand would remain the law of the land for all time. But not us. We’ve always trusted in God’s providence that we would one day have the chance to end the scourge of abortion in our state.
That chance is now before us and I couldn’t be more grateful that you are standing with me to seize upon this opportunity.
But the pro-abortionists are not giving up. In fact, Planned Parenthood recently said: “All roads lead to North Carolina.” Why? Because according to the Guttmacher Institute, “overturning Roe would likely create a 4,672% increase in the number of women whose closest abortion clinic is in North Carolina.”
Their predictions have been true – North Carolina is on the verge of becoming the abortion capitol of the Southeast, already seeing a 37% increase in the number of abortions since the Dobbs decision came down.
Now its time for us to fight like never before. You and I have a narrow window of opportunity to enact pro-life legislation in our state that secures protections for the preborn and makes our state a safe-haven for life.
This #GivingTuesday, you’ll likely be asked by many for contributions to many worthy causes. I ask you, can there be a more important cause than putting an end to the silent holocaust that continues to rage in our state?
