Imagine this past weekend, you decided to celebrate the Christmas season by taking your children or grandchildren to the annual Jaycees Christmas parade in Cary to see Santa.

While there, you would have witnessed the usual festive display of an assortment of community members on their respective floats. Among them are various kids, schools, dance troupes, scouting groups, political candidates, local businesses, and of course, Old Saint Nick himself.

However, one of the final floats contrasts with a celebration over Christmas’ namesake. On a rainbow adorned float, is a man dressed as an intentionally-offensive satanic drag queen nun. Were your children to ask what group they represented, the answer would be “The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” a group identifying as trans-nuns who conduct anti-Christian public displays so offensive against the Lord Jesus, that we couldn’t even bring ourself to share them with you in this email.

What could be further removed from a parade celebrating the birth of our sacrificial Savior, than satanic drag queen nuns whose message is one of perpetual indulgence?

Sadly, this is exactly what played out in Cary on Saturday before scores of attending children.

When we heard about what was happening, we reached out to coalition members in Cary, and asked them to contact parade and town officials about how offensive this was to Christians in attendance. We also joined with Steve Noble on his radio show to get the word out to the public (click here to listen to the interview for yourself).

We believe it is unacceptable for a gay pride float openly mocking nuns to be showcased in a Christian holiday parade. Unfortunately, Cary Jaycees did not reconsider its decision, and even after other floats began pulling out in protest, Cary Jaycees subjected families to the offensive and openly anti-Christian display.

The increasing frequency of the vile attacks on our Christian values that we are up against demonstrates the need for an organization like NC Values, which is on the front lines advancing your values across local, state, and federal levels. If you support our work pushing back against woke absurdity, like the satanic drag queens, would you consider making a donation today towards our defense of life, family, and religious freedom in North Carolina?

Sincerely,

Tami & Team
