Over these past couple of months, the team at NC Values has been incredibly busy. While we’re still in the midst of securing a veto override, it’s safe to say that our hard work has been paying off. Already, this year is gearing up to be our most successful legislative session in our organization’s history.
In addition to helping pass a major pro-life bill that saves thousands of precious unborn babies in our state, we have spent a tremendous amount of time working on the passage of three important pieces of pro-values legislation (H574, S49, H808 ).
Unfortunately, Governor Cooper has vetoed all three of them. Instead of siding with 70% of North Carolinians on protecting women’s sports from biological males stealing their opportunities, or with the 80% calling for transparency in schools, or with shielding children from medical activists, Governor Cooper has committed himself to the small—but loud—radical left.
In the next couple of weeks, we are expecting the NC House and Senate to take up veto override votes on all three bills. We plan on being there when it happens, and on doing everything in our power to ensure these pro-values bills become law.
